Enough said, though of course I will say more. I was introduced to these miracles last night. They were included in our Fruit share and were perfectly ripe, and are a revelation.
My first fig I thought was too subtle, being used to dried figs. The second was pretty damn good, and by the third I was a convert.
How I envy Z who grew up in a climate were Figs grew in the neighbors yard and the neighborhood children would have fig wars and then eat the broken missles. ( I also envy the fresh citrus and avocado outside the back door he reminices about every time we buy an avocado)
Never mind. I had snow forts and snow men and snow days and snow....and fall...and hotdish.
