Beginning as I mean to go on

If what you do at the beginning of the new year is an omen for the rest of the year, than I am well on the way to spinning down my stash of fleece. Two years ago, I believe, I bought a Cheviot fleece from a dear friend who was looking to de-stash some excess wool. It got lost in my stash and I forgot about it until I found it late this summer. During the last days of 2015 I carded it up on my drum carder and started spinning, and on the first and second of January I finished spinning, plyed it, and washed it. So here it is, though the photo is pre-wash, a fleece's worth of yarn, 1280 yards of two ply.

And fantastic yarn it is, too! Isn't it amazing how much we can accomplish if we actually put the time in?
