Cotton and Long Term Projects

The past week or so I have been spinning Sally Fox's green cotton on my matchless. I love my charkha, but the spinning wheel fits my life better and I appreciate the large skeins I can get from it. The cotton will eventually be a shirt or kurta, I hope. I have one bobbin finished with two ounces of cotton on it and am partway through the second bobbin. I have a goal to spin a pound of cotton between this October just past and next October. I have a pound each of green, brown, and cream natural color cottons from Sally Fox, plus some various amounts of other cottons. It was an obsession this year and I was extreme in acquiring the fiber. LOTS of cotton. Here is the first bobbin with 2 ounces of fine singles.
